Threaser Griffin, lovingly known as "Tess," was born August 27, 1968. She passed away peacefully at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama, on Friday, September 20, 2019, at the age of 51.

If you were blessed to know Tess, you were blessed to know that you had a friend in her. She was kind to those she worked with, dear to her children and grandchildren, and caring to family and strangers alike. She is survived by her mother, Lorene Beaty (Ellis Rodgers), father, Charles Shipman, and her husband, Bertram Griffin. She will be remembered by her children, Terinda Griffin, Trai-vana Griffin, Tiffani Griffin Lampley (Dexter), Khalil Thigpen and Kiara Griffin. She will also be forever remembered by her grandchildren, Angeleke Griffin, Bryson McLeod, Lai’leana and Rae’lei Crittendon. In addition, Tess leaves to cherish her memory a brother, Charles Banks (Amber); a sister, Crystal Banks; a special niece and nephew, Lametria and Lamar Griffin; her two cousins that she considered sisters, Latifa McLeod and Fatima Cummings; and two best friends, Tamara Stewart and Christina Matthews Mcclendon; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
