Charles Bower Obituary

Charles Wayne Bower, Veteran, 62, a resident of Ozark, AL passed away peacefully Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, AL. He was born November 15, 1958 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He was the third son born to the late Helen Lanham. Charles served two years and four months in the United States Army Infantry. After his Honorable discharge in 1979, with no regret, he returned home to care for his two younger brothers. After relocating to Alabama, he worked at Walmart DC in Brundige, AL. He moved to Ozark, AL in 2014 where he was a valuable member of the community. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his motorcycle.

He was preceded in death by his mother Helen Lanham, his two younger brothers: Paul Dellinger “Pud” and Steven Dellinger Sr. “Pete”. Mr. Bower is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Lisa Bower, his son Jessy Goodwin and son Steven Dellinger II. Two brothers: Johnny Bower and Ronnie Phillips, His daughter-in-law Niki Goodwin. Four nieces: Alex Bower, Crystal Dellinger, Stephany Dellinger and Jenifer Dellinger. Two Nephews: Paul Bower and Ian Bower. Also surviving Mr. Bower are a host of great nieces and great nephews.
